I plan to have classes this morning. The weather peeps are talking light showers starting at 10 but at the rate or .01"/ hour. I think we should be fine but please check back before you leave for class. This is perfect agility weather!!

Happy New Year! Since I can't seem to get any consistency between weather predictions, I am planning on having classes tonight with the caveat that if it gets too wet, we'll stop. Sorry to be so wishy-washy...just walking in the shoes of our esteemed weather forecasters.

If you sent me a practice request recently and you don't see it on the calendar, please resend. My phone died and when I starred the conversation it does not seem to show up any where on my computer. . .sigh.

Whitney & Diane Subject: Private agility training Hello Sharon, I was given your name by Linda Buell. I have a 2 1/2 year old black tri male from her. This dog LOVES to run and I had a lady named Thea training him. Unfortunately Thea is moving to Carson and can not be around to work with my dog. I have bad knees and my dog is so very fast that there is no way for me to keep up with him. I was hoping that perhaps you might be interested in training my dog and if available, running him in agility shows. I would bring him to Martinez and get him to any shows. He is a very quick learner and Linda mentioned to me that if I was serious about getting him trained that he would be really, really good at it. We took him to an ASCA trial in San Martine a couple of weeks ago. It was his first time out so he was nervous. Before the weekend was over he “Q” twice in Novice Jumpers so will now have that title. He had only about 6 lessons before the trial so we were quite surprised at his awards. I will attach a couple of pictures. Please let me know if you might be interested. I just hate to this this guys agility career end. Diane Haist 925-253-1333

My neighbor across the street came over to complain about dog poop in his front yard again. It is hard for me to believe anyone here at Freilance Dog Sports does not pick up after their dog but regardless, we are getting blamed for it. In hopes in keeping my neighbor happy, there will be no walking of your dog on Chelsea Drive permitted before, during or after class. There will be zero tolerance, if you are seen out there then you will no longer be allowed to train here. I am investigating putting up a camera to find out who the culprit is. If you want to walk you dog before class there is the Orchard entrance into Briones about a quarter mile down the road. I am happy to point it out to you. You may also take your dogs up the hill. You can use the pasture if there are are no sheep and you can potty your dogs on the right as you walk up the hill and of course under the big oak tree in front of the house. PARKING - It is important that you do not park in front of the Far's house which is across the street from us. The only time we can is for the Christmas party but please park at least 25' from his driveway but please check the driveway first! Sharon

Don't forget!!!! Christmas party is Saturday, December 2 The time - 5 PM As in years past this will be a potluck and gift exchange. Bring your favorite dish. No need to tell me what you plan to bring as it is a potluck in the truest sense. If you want to participate in the very FUN gift exchange, bring a wrapped gift (approximate value $20), drop it on the family room coffee table and join the festivities! The gift exchange will follow dinner. I will have wine, beer, soft drinks and water. You are welcome to bring what you like to drink and share with others. Just RSVP so I can get an idea of how many to plan for. Spouses and kids welcome
