Forecast says possible rain and I've had a few sprinkles my way but, I am planning on having Tuesday morning classes. The temp is warm and some rain will make the field surface perfect. Hope to see you there!

It is predicted to be in the mid-90's this afternoon, so my 2pm lesson and my 2:30, 3:30 and 4:30pm classes are cancelled today due to heat. I am out of town next Wednesday so I will see my Wednesday classes in two weeks.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS!!!! Christmas party is Saturday, December 8 The time - 5 PM. As in years past this will be a potluck and gift exchange. Bring your favorite dish. No need to tell me what you plan to bring as it is a potluck in the truest sense. If you want to participate in the very FUN gift exchange, bring a wrapped gift (approximate value $20), drop it on the family-room coffee table and join the festivities! The gift exchange will follow dinner. I will have wine, beer, soft drinks and water. You are welcome to bring what you like to drink and share with others. Just RSVP so I can get an idea of how many to plan for. Spouses and kids welcome

I have recently moved to Martinez. I am interested in starting agility training with my 7 month old Sheltie. I trained and competed in agility back in St. Louis, with my Australian Shepherd, in 2012. We qualified for our AKC Novice designation. So, it has been a few years, to say I am rusty is an understatement. Thus I would like to start from the very beginning. Taking group classes. Would like to set up a meet/greet with your facility. Please email/call. Ph:314-397-9420. Thanks, Rosie Stout

The message you all have been waiting for..... Dear Friends in the Freilance Agility Community: We know there has been a lot of speculation about who is purchasing Sharon and Phil’s home and agility fields. We are writing to let you know it was us, Laura and Dan Wall. When we heard about the wonderful plans Sharon and Phil have for moving to Oregon, we were thrilled for them but worried—as we know many of you would be—about how we would all be able to continue the sport we love. With Lee’s help and expertise we were able to figure out that we could buy the property, have Lee and Diablo Peak Dog Sports take over the agility program, and this great thing we all love could continue. This is tremendously exciting for us, even though we intend to remain in the background of the business. Lee will run it all, and we will continue to take lessons from Lee along with everyone else. (Who knows, maybe Dan will start training.) Our main goal, along with Lee, will be to make sure that the high-quality agility experience that Sharon has brought to this area will flourish for many years into the future. So that’s the story. We will see you all—including your dogs, of course—on the agility fields. Laura, Dan and Koda

Hi everyone. I have received a lot of questions since Sharon’s retirement announcement. I hope to clarify some of those questions below. Sharon will continue to teach all of her classes through December 2018 as she stated in her post. Starting in January 2019, I will take over teaching all of Sharon’s classes. These classes will stay at the same times/days that they are currently scheduled. My current classes and Rachelle’s current classes will also stay at the current days/times that they are currently scheduled. I am not planning to make any changes as Diablo Peak Dog Sports takes over the business in 2019. I anticipate a very smooth transition for this wonderful agility community. I am happy to answer individual questions as they arise so please feel free to contact me privately at diablopeakdogsports@gmail.com. I look forward to continuing the agility excellence at 5010 Chelsea that Sharon has built and maintained for so many years. I have many plans for additional events, seminars, etc. and will post when those details become available. Sharon and Phil will be deeply missed! I wish them all the best on a fantastic and relaxing retirement! I hope that they come back and visit us often!

This came across my DiabloRaw list, thought I would pass it along. Sweet kittens looking for a furever loving home. These kittens were found as 4 week olds in a ditch, they are around 7 weeks old now. The Calico girl with her 2 brothers are healthy, adorable, raw fed and not yet fixed. They are looking for a holistic minded person and come with potential lifelong holistic veterinary support. They would love to be adopted in a pair and are waiting for your call: Dr. Tina Herter @ 925 708 8207
